What Information Do We Collect?

When you visit our Web site you may provide us with two types of information:

    1. Personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis and
  1. Web site use information collected on an aggregate basis, for the purpose of statistics, as you and others browse our Web site.

1. Personal Information You Choose to Provide

    • Subscription Information.
      • You will provide a minimal amount of information when you subscribe to our email newsletter. You may also provide additional comments about our website or our products.

    • Email Information.
      • If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses.

  • Personally Identifiable Payment Information
    • When you use our secure shopping cart to make an online purchase, or if you mail in, or call in an order, you will provide personally identifiable information required to process your payment. This information includes the amount of the transaction, your name, credit card number and expiration date (or checking account number), billing address, and (if different) shipping address.
    • In the case of a credit card purchase, our Credit Card Processing Gateway, Authorize.Net (http://www.authorizenet.com), uses the information collected to process payment transactions. Any personally identifiable consumer information sent to Authorize.Net by you or us, is encrypted using SSL encryption.

2. Web Site Use Information

    • What Do We Collect?
      • Similar to other commercial Web sites, our Web site utilizes a standard technology called “Session IDs” (see explanation below).

We also utilize Web server log files to collect information about how our Web site is used. Information gathered through Web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our Web site, and the Web sites visited just before and just after our Web site.

    • What Are Session IDs?
      • A session ID is a very small text file with an anonymous, unique identifier. Also called a transient cookie, or a session cookie, – this cookie is erased when the user closes the Web browser. They typically will store information in the form of a session identification (ID) that does not personally identify the user. The session ID is stored in temporary memory and is not retained after the browser is closed. Session cookies do not collect information from the user’s computer.

They are not the same as a persistent cookie. Also called a permanent cookie, or a stored cookie, – this is a cookie that is stored on a user’s hard drive until it expires (persistent cookies are set with expiration dates) or until the user deletes the cookie. Persistent cookies are used to collect identifying information about the user, such as Web surfing behavior or user preferences for a specific Web site.

We use only Session Cookies or IDs.

    • How Are Session Ids Used?
      • If you shop on our Web site, the site uses its session ID to differentiate you from other shoppers so your shopping cart is only available to you. Session IDs do not allow us to gather any personal information about you.

  • How Are Web Server Log Files Used?
    • Web server’s log files allow us to calculate the aggregate number of people visiting our Web site, and which parts of the site are most popular (statistics). This helps us constantly improve our Web site and better serve our customers.

How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to Us?

  • We use personal information for purposes of administering our business. On rare occassions, we may also use information we collect to notify you about important changes to our business or Web site (i.e. a change of address or contact information). You may notify us at any time if you do not wish to receive such notices, by emailing us at info@nrhunt.com .
