Jess ordered this beautiful custom money clip for her father. He's a Brit, and very much enjoys engraved guns. The rose & scroll design is deeply engraved and the jeweler's screws that attach the silver plate to the clip are incorporated into the design. The inscription is engraved after the rest of the design is completed and darkened, and intentionally left shiny for a little contrast.

Neil has engraved money clips in the past, but no longer engraves sterling silver clips, as they don't seem to hold their shape and spring over time. For this clip he engraved a sterling silver plate and attached it to the stainless steel clip. As can be seen from the angled photo, he used a nice gauge of silver for the engraved plate.
