Neil hand-crafted each of these buckles (and sets) from metal plate, bar, and wire - and each is uniquely sculpted. Neil has been experimenting with different kinds of Mokume-gane of late (winter-spring 2016). The Fusion - San Francisco is a classy, hand-crafted 2-piece set with sterling silver edges. Mokume-gane (Japanese for "wood grained metals") is a type of Japanese married metal made from diffusion bonded laminates often used in decorating swords, in this case consisting of nickel silver, brass, and copper.

This simple and dressy 2-piece set is a classy statement on any straight or ranger belt strap. With the copper and brass color in the Mokume-gane this buckle looks amazing on blue-jeans! It is substantial without being too heavy, and the mokume-gane is 1/8" thick.
