Fusion - Philadelphia Belt Buckle Set shown on Straight Strap
The classy, hand-crafted Fusion - Philadelphia 2-piece belt buckle set is part of Neil's Fusion Series for the obvious fusing of metals, but also for the more subtle fusion of East and West, classic and traditional, complex and elegant. Neil hand-crafted each of these buckles (and sets) from metal plate, bar, and wire - and each is uniquely sculpted. The Fusion - Philadelphia belt buckle set is true wearable art, and makes a great gift for graduation, retirement, and more.
Neil has been experimenting with different kinds of Mokume-gane of late (winter-spring 2016).
Mokume-gane (Japanese for "wood grained metals") is a type of Japanese married metal made from diffusion bonded laminates often
used in decorating swords, in this case consisting of nickel silver, brass, and copper. The edges of this buckle and keeper are solid
sterling silver.
Note: The angled photo captures more of the reflection from the foreground, making the
mokume-gane look blotchy. This is not the case in reality.
This simple and dressy 2-piece set looks very nice on any straight or ranger belt strap. It is substantial without being too heavy. The engraving on the edges of the buckle and keeper add a subtle touch of class.
Please inquire about ordering a similar buckle. Neil will happily make a special version of it for you.
